Salary: USD 166,000 - 220,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced autonomy, AI, and robotics. The Air Dominance & Strike team develops aerial and multi-domain robotic systems, including Fury (unmanned fighter jet) and Barracuda (air-breathing cruise missile), alongside Lattice for Mission Autonomy—a software platform enabling collaborative autonomous systems across missions.
You will join a team solving complex problems in autonomy software, including computer vision, motion planning, SLAM, controls, estimation, and secure communications. Working closely with specialist teams in Perception, Motion Planning, Hardware, and Test Engineering, you'll contribute to production-grade C++ and/or Rust systems that process significant data streams and operate in real-world military environments.
Required: BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field. 3+ years of production C++ and/or Rust experience in Linux environments. Strong ability to understand and navigate complex systems and established codebases. Experience building software involving significant data processing and analysis. Eligibility for and ability to maintain U.S. Top Secret security clearance. Willingness to travel up to 30% for real-world testing and deployment.
Preferred: Strong background in Physics, Mathematics, or Motion Planning for modeling and simulation. Experience developing and testing multi-agent autonomous systems in real-world environments. Feature and algorithm development with behavior trees. Flight systems and safety-critical software development. Distributed communication networks and message standards. Knowledge of military systems and operational tactics.
