Anduril Industries is seeking a Mission Analytics Engineer to support the Air Defense team, which builds networked sensor and effector systems to detect, track, and defeat unmanned aerial systems threats. This role focuses on designing and maintaining data systems that ingest and transform structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data from production environments—both classified and unclassified—to deliver actionable insights for warfighters and operational teams.
You will collaborate with engineering, field operations, and leadership to understand system performance in real-world scenarios, build data products that support operational workflows, and ensure data quality through rigorous root cause analysis. Key responsibilities include developing high-quality, low-latency data ingestion pipelines; writing secure and extensible data models; creating reusable analytics entities that generalize divisional operations; and building dashboards and metrics that drive faster decision-making. You will also develop analytics solutions for network-isolated and classified environments, empower end-users through self-service analytics, and occasionally travel to field locations for testing and deployment.
Required qualifications include 3+ years in an analytics-focused or data-oriented role (data engineer, analytics engineer, data scientist, or analyst); exceptional problem-solving and communication skills; proficiency with multiple programming languages and frameworks; hands-on experience developing data solutions in cloud environments; and current US Person status with ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance or higher. Preferred experience includes systems programming languages (Python, C/C++, Rust, Zig), knowledge of analytical workloads in resource-constrained or on-premises environments, familiarity with air-gapped and security-hardened networks, exposure to robotics data formats (MCAP, HDF5), and hands-on experience with modern data tools such as dbt, Palantir Foundry, Trino/Presto, Apache Spark, Kafka, Flink, and in-memory databases.
