As a Mid-Market Account Manager, you will be the central driver of customer growth within your assigned portfolio of existing accounts. This is a hunter role focused entirely on cross-sell expansion—renewals are owned by the Customer Value Manager (CVM). You own the full growth lifecycle for every account in your book: opportunity identification, business case development, negotiation, and close.
Key responsibilities:
- Take sole ownership of self-generated and CSQL cross-sell pipeline; no other function shares accountability for this outcome.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans including discovery, stakeholder mapping, business case development, and technology stack analysis, with focus on future strategy and value-led ROI.
- Build coordinated account plans in partnership with the aligned CVM, who leads on renewal, adoption, and account health while you lead on growth.
- Maintain a two-way exchange of account intelligence with the CVM, sharing risk, stakeholder, and commercial signals from growth conversations.
- Build and maintain multi-threaded relationships across departments with key decision-makers, economic buyers, and champions as you expand into new business units and geographies.
- Demonstrate sales operational excellence: maintain accurate CRM records, forecasting, and pipeline tracking.
- Participate in Strategic Business Reviews led by the CVM, owning the future-strategy, growth, and commercial elements.
- Promote the Confirm solution and services using external tools such as LinkedIn.
Requirements:
- Proven B2B SaaS sales experience with demonstrated performance carrying and exceeding a growth or new-business quota.
- HR tech experience is a plus but not required.
- Results-focused with high comfort with tangible goals, quota accountability, and strong drive for success.
- Experience with structured sales methodologies and qualification frameworks (e.g., MEDDPICC).
- Strong command of discovery, ROI selling, objection handling, and negotiation.
- Demonstrated ability to build growth pipeline through account prospecting and account planning.
- Skilled in delivering compelling sales presentations, both virtually and on-site, to C-level executives and stakeholders.
- Highly collaborative; thrives in partnership with cross-functional teams, including CVMs.
- Excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills.
- Organised and rigorous with ability to prioritise and execute on multiple tasks while taking accountability.
- Adaptable, coachable, and proactive in dynamic environments.
- Passionate about continuous improvement and customer-centric thinking.
