The Corporate Strategy team sits within ServiceNow's Office of the Chief Strategy Officer, reporting to the CFO organization. This team drives the company's most critical strategic decisions: market positioning, portfolio evolution, and responses to market shifts. The team is small and reports directly to the CFO, executive leadership, and the Board of Directors.
In this role, you will own end-to-end strategic workstreams on enterprise-level questions. You will scope ambiguous strategic problems into clear hypotheses and actionable workplans, then execute the analysis to answer them. Your responsibilities include:
- Framing complex strategic questions, building fact bases through market and competitive analysis, customer and financial analysis, and synthesis of internal and external data
- Writing and presenting strategic recommendations to the CFO, executive leadership team, and Board of Directors
- Collaborating with business unit and functional leaders to test recommendations and gather input
- Partnering with Corporate Development and Ventures teams to provide strategic context on markets and inorganic growth opportunities
- Demonstrating strong judgment about what matters and working comfortably with senior stakeholders
You will work closely with Corporate Development, Ventures, and business unit leaders. The role requires the ability to structure unclear problems, reach defensible recommendations, and communicate complex ideas clearly to C-suite and board-level audiences.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of professional experience, including time at a top-tier strategy consulting firm (McKinsey, Bain, BCG, or comparable). Candidates transitioning from consulting into industry are welcome.
- Demonstrated track record of structuring ambiguous problems and reaching recommendations that withstand scrutiny
- Strong quantitative skills and financial fluency; comfort with P&Ls, unit economics, financial modeling, and analysis
- Excellent written communication; ability to make a compelling argument concisely (one-page standard)
- Good judgment and ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders
- Experience in enterprise software or technology is a plus
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
