Wave is building financial services for Africa, enabling millions of users across 9 countries to send money, deposit cash, and make payments via mobile. The company's mission is to make Africa the first cashless continent by removing barriers to financial access.
As Merchant Account Supervisor, you will lead the deployment and management of corporate merchant products across Côte d'Ivoire. You'll oversee the full merchant lifecycle—from onboarding and product training to ongoing performance monitoring and relationship management. Your responsibilities span five key areas:
**Corporate Merchant Deployment**: Coordinate merchant onboarding, product training, branding, and technical setup. Ensure merchants understand Wave's products, operational processes, and best practices. Monitor activation and engagement throughout the partnership.
**Partner Portfolio Management**: Manage a portfolio of corporate partners and API integrators. Monitor transaction volumes, identify growth opportunities, and conduct regular business reviews. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and develop growth strategies collaboratively.
**API & Aggregator Management**: Oversee relationships with aggregators, monitor merchant creation and activation, maintain KYB documentation, and resolve onboarding or technical issues. Collect and report market intelligence on competition, customer feedback, and opportunities.
**Volume Monitoring & Performance**: Track transaction KPIs across your portfolio. Identify unusual patterns, conduct investigations into volume changes, and provide insights for business growth and risk mitigation. Coordinate with marketing on merchant promotions and engagement activities.
**Compliance**: Conduct regular compliance reviews, monitor for suspicious patterns, escalate concerns to Internal Control, and support corrective actions. Perform field visits to ensure operational compliance and gather user feedback.
You'll work from Wave's Abidjan office and must have work authorization in Côte d'Ivoire. This is a full-time permanent role requiring strong client relationship skills, result orientation, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.
