Quince is a manufacturer-to-consumer (M2C) retailer delivering high-quality essentials at accessible prices across apparel, accessories, home goods, and more. The company operates with a direct-to-consumer model that eliminates traditional retail layers, using proprietary technology and data analytics to scale rapidly.
You will join as Merchandising Manager for Eyewear, responsible for building and scaling Quince's eyewear assortment with a particular focus on prescription (Rx) lenses. This is a hands-on merchant role that owns the full product strategy and execution across frames, single-vision and progressive lenses, blue-light, readers, and sunglasses.
Key responsibilities include:
- Scale the eyewear business by adding, refining, and improving assortment across frames and prescription lens offerings
- Own the prescription lens strategy—lens types, coatings, materials, and index options—and identify expansion opportunities for long-term growth
- Work closely with product development, sourcing, and technical design to develop and improve frames and lens quality, ensuring seamless Rx fulfillment
- Partner with vendors and optical labs to deliver on quality, price, and prescription accuracy
- Collaborate with planning, site merchandising, and marketing teams to grow the business
- Drive business forward to meet sales targets, customer ratings/return rates, and margin improvements
- Obsess about every product aspect—fit, quality, lens performance, price—to deliver for customers
Quince's culture emphasizes builders and operators who challenge the status quo. The company values questioning conventional thinking, using data to uncover opportunities, and moving quickly. Responsibility is not determined by role or tenure; every team member can drive the business and shape trajectory.
The role is based in San Francisco with a 3 days per week in-office requirement.

- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and analytical, with focus on execution, problem-solving, improving processes, and brand enhancement
- Continuous learner and highly curious; open to new perspectives; proactive when changing course and facing added challenges
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Motivated by a fast-paced, collaborative environment where flexibility to stretch into or out of functional comfort zones is crucial for team success
