Monk is an AI-native accounts receivable platform automating billing, collections, and payments for B2B companies. You will be Monk's first dedicated data hire, owning the complete data platform that powers their AI agents and customer-facing analytics.
You will own end-to-end responsibility for data ingestion, transformation, storage, and serving. This includes designing and building infrastructure to turn messy customer financial data into a single source of truth, establishing data quality standards, and building best-in-class monitoring and validation. You will create customer-facing data products providing visibility into AR health, agent behavior, and cash flow.
The role requires 4+ years building production data systems at venture-backed startups, with deep expertise in Postgres, SQL, and modern data pipelines (ETL/ELT, event-driven processing). You should be hands-on with cloud infrastructure (Supabase, AWS, Vercel, or equivalent), comfortable debugging and fixing production issues without escalation, and excited about building data foundations for AI agents.
Bonus experience includes fintech/payments data systems, data infrastructure for LLM/agent products, or founding/early-stage data roles. You will work in-person in Flatiron, NYC with experienced founders, motivated teammates, and immediate visibility into production impact.
