Salary: USD 145,000 - 185,000 / annual

This is a 0-to-1 data engineering role for someone with proven experience standing up data environments for live-service, consumer-focused products. You'll be responsible for building the foundational data infrastructure that powers critical areas including Trust & Safety, Fraud detection, and comprehensive user, creator, and application analytics.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and scaling data infrastructure from the ground up to support a rapidly growing consumer product
- Developing data systems that enable Trust & Safety, fraud detection, and multi-dimensional analytics
- Creating reliable data pipelines and foundational datasets for product, engineering, and operational decision-making
- Partnering closely with product and engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Supporting analytics across user behavior, creator engagement, application performance, and platform health
- Establishing strong standards for data quality, reliability, documentation, and accessibility
- Building systems that evolve with a rapidly changing live-service product and growing data volumes
- Identifying opportunities to improve how teams access, understand, and act on data
- Operating autonomously to identify high-impact problems and drive projects from concept through implementation
Required qualifications include 5+ years in data engineering, data infrastructure, analytics engineering, or related roles. You should have proven experience building 0-to-1 data environments for consumer products, supporting live-service products with rapidly changing requirements, and strong understanding of data pipelines, modeling, and infrastructure. The ideal candidate operates with high autonomy and ownership, has excellent problem-solving and communication skills, and brings a product-oriented mindset.
Nice-to-have experience includes Trust & Safety or fraud detection work, background with gaming/social/livestreaming products, building systems for millions of users, real-time or event-driven architectures, and developing analytics for both internal and customer-facing products.
