Join Nutanix's Data Lens team as a Member of Technical Staff 4, where you will develop a Data Management, Security, and Compliance platform supporting Nutanix Unified Storage (NUS) and other industry storage products. You will work on reliable, efficient, and high-performance software for large-scale enterprise and hybrid cloud environments, focusing on understanding complex distributed systems and solving customer requirements.
The Data Lens team is an innovative group dedicated to data analytics and machine learning, with members based in both the US and India. The team fosters a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement where every member's ideas are valued. You will report to the Director of Engineering, who is committed to empowering the team through mentorship and support.
In this role, you will:
- Build scalable enterprise-grade software for data engineering and security solutions
- Participate in architecture and technical design discussions for a data platform
- Design, implement, maintain, and support enterprise-grade software systems
- Collaborate with a global development team
- Work in a fast-paced environment where autonomy and ownership are highly valued
This is a hybrid role based in Pune. Employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources.
REQUIREMENTS:
- BA, BS, or MS degree in Computer Science or related field
- 4–8 years of experience in software product development as a systems or application engineer
- Strong Linux OS knowledge
- Experience with one or more of: Python, Golang
- Understanding of containers (Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Owner's mindset and experience working in fast-paced, demanding environments
PLUS (preferred):
- Experience with databases like Clickhouse or Snowflake
- Experience with messaging systems like NATS
- Data engineering background
- Experience with distributed storage systems
- Experience in the security domain
