Orca Bio is a commercial-stage biotechnology company developing next-generation cell therapies to treat blood cancer. The company is redefining the transplant process with purified, high-precision cell therapies designed to provide better survival rates and fewer risks compared to traditional allogeneic stem cell transplants, which can cause graft-versus-host disease and other serious complications.
As a Medical Science Liaison for the Southwest region, you will serve as a clinical and scientific expert, bridging the gap between Orca Bio's innovative cell therapy platform and the healthcare providers, oncologists, and transplant specialists who treat blood cancer patients. You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key opinion leaders, hematologists, and transplant centers across your territory.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing clinical and scientific education to physicians and medical teams about Orca Bio's cell therapy mechanisms, clinical data, and patient outcomes
- Conducting presentations and training sessions at medical centers, conferences, and professional meetings
- Gathering market intelligence and feedback from healthcare providers to inform product development and commercial strategy
- Supporting the sales team by providing clinical credibility and answering complex scientific questions from physicians
- Maintaining detailed records of interactions and insights from key accounts
- Staying current with clinical literature, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments in cell therapy and hematologic malignancies
This role requires a deep understanding of cell therapy science, transplant immunology, and the clinical landscape for blood cancer treatment. You will work closely with the commercial, medical affairs, and clinical teams to ensure consistent messaging and support market adoption of Orca Bio's therapies.
