Salary: GBP 125,000 - 125,000 / annual

Anthropic is seeking a Marketing Events Manager, International to own the execution of events across international markets that drive pipeline, deepen customer relationships, and build Anthropic's brand presence in fast-growing regions. This role sits on the Marketing Events Team, reporting to the Head of International Events, and partners closely with International Sales, regional Field Marketing, Communications, Policy, Product Marketing, and Creative teams. You will deliver a diverse portfolio ranging from global flagship programs adapted for local markets to brand activations, executive dinners, roundtables, customer summits, and third-party event activations. You'll bring hands-on operational excellence and a strong eye for brand storytelling, turning plans into experiences that resonate with diverse audiences—from developers to enterprise executives to policymakers. As part of a small team building Anthropic's international events program, you'll help create the systems, processes, and playbooks that enable scaling across regions. Key responsibilities include developing and executing international events that deliver on brand objectives and regional sales priorities; planning and managing a multi-country portfolio spanning hosted flagship events, brand activations, and industry conferences; adapting global event programs for international markets while maintaining alignment with company-wide strategy; collaborating with Creative on event identities, spatial design, and experiential elements; overseeing event budgets, vendor relationships, and contract negotiations; building operational frameworks that maintain quality and brand consistency across regions; providing on-site leadership and logistics management during live experiences; and identifying opportunities to innovate on event formats that differentiate Anthropic in the AI landscape. You will work across EMEA and APAC regions with approximately 30% travel required. The role requires strong cross-functional collaboration with Product Marketing, Policy, Communications, and International Sales teams to align messaging and maximize impact at industry moments. Requirements: - 8+ years of B2B event marketing and management experience, including brand-owned, technical, or innovation-focused events across EMEA and/or APAC at a high-growth technology company - Proven track record of executing multi-country event programs that deliver brand impact and measurable pipeline and revenue results - Strong portfolio of events that turn company values and positioning into memorable, on-brand experiences - Experience activating at premium third-party events, including hospitality at high-end venues, sporting events, and cultural experiences - Highly organized with exceptional project management skills and ability to run multiple complex events simultaneously across different markets - Collaborative partner who builds strong relationships across International Sales, Marketing, and executive stakeholders - Strong budget and vendor management experience, including local suppliers and multiple currencies - Cultural awareness and judgment to adapt events for different markets - Ability to operate in fast-paced environments and maintain calm, effective leadership in high-pressure situations - Strong data analysis skills to measure and report on event success metrics - Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and professional experience Preferred qualifications: - Experience with event technology platforms and meeting scheduling tools (e.g., Splash, Cvent) - Experience working closely with enterprise sales teams and understanding the enterprise buying cycle - Experience collaborating with creative teams and agencies on event identities and spatial design - Experience managing or mentoring team members - Genuine interest in AI technology and commitment to safe AI development
