Reflect Orbital is seeking a hands-on Marketing Director to lead the company's marketing strategy and public presence as it brings its sunlight-on-demand satellite constellation to market. This is a high-visibility leadership role requiring someone who can set strategic direction while executing tactically. You will own Reflect Orbital's positioning, brand, and integrated marketing plan, translating complex space technology into compelling narratives for customers, partners, and the public. Working closely with the Chief Strategy Officer and leadership team, you'll set priorities, lead campaigns and product launches, and build marketing capabilities to scale. Key responsibilities include: - Developing and owning the marketing strategy and roadmap, aligning audiences, positioning, campaigns, and priorities with company milestones and commercial goals - Leading integrated launches, events, conferences, and demos from planning through execution and follow-up - Setting creative direction and overseeing production of marketing materials (decks, one-pagers, launch assets, social graphics); creating key assets directly - Owning website strategy, content, and customer journey in partnership with engineering and product teams - Leading messaging and storytelling for announcements, campaigns, and executive communications - Managing marketing budgets, resource allocation, and performance reporting; defining success measures - Partnering with PR and leadership on media strategy, press moments, and external relationships - Collaborating with business development to understand customer needs and develop go-to-market campaigns - Owning brand positioning and standards across all public-facing channels - Leading social, content, photo, and video strategy; managing agencies and freelancers - Building and developing the marketing team as the company grows - Identifying and testing creative growth opportunities with measurable impact REQUIREMENTS: - 7+ years of progressive marketing experience, including ownership of strategy and integrated campaigns - Experience leading a marketing function or team in a startup or fast-moving environment - Excellent writing and communication skills with strong brand judgment and visual design sensibility - Ability to make complex technical ideas accessible to diverse audiences - Demonstrated success building brands and leading launches across digital, social, content, PR, and events with clear business impact - Strategic and action-oriented mindset; comfortable setting direction without established playbooks and doing hands-on work - Experience owning website strategy and performance; familiarity with Webflow, analytics, and marketing tools is a plus - Experience directing creative work and collaborating with designers, agencies, and freelancers; Figma familiarity is a plus - Strong leadership and operating discipline with experience managing budgets, developing people, and influencing cross-functional partners - Passion for space, energy, and building novel solutions; experience marketing complex technology is a plus The company notes that exceptional people often have unconventional backgrounds and encourages applications from those who don't meet 100% of qualifications.
