Picnic is reinventing the workplace lunch experience by partnering with top local restaurants and batching orders to deliver high-quality, individually packed meals to companies without fees or tips. As a Market Manager, you will own a metropolitan market end-to-end. This is a hybrid business development and account management role where you become the face of Picnic in your city. You'll identify and build relationships with office decision makers, ensure existing customers grow and stay satisfied, and cultivate referrals that drive inbound pipeline. Key responsibilities include: **Market Ownership**: Map your territory to identify target office accounts, understand decision makers and competitive dynamics, and build local presence through events, partnerships, and community touchpoints. Develop warm lead pipelines through relationships with local hotels, coworking spaces, and venues. **Customer Growth**: Convert inbound leads and referrals into customers through discovery conversations and pilot launches. Drive expansion within existing accounts across new locations, employee cohorts, and features. Nurture relationships with lapsed customers. **Customer Success**: Own post-launch relationships by delivering monthly usage reports, surfacing improvement opportunities, and serving as the primary escalation point for high-stakes issues. Track satisfaction metrics and synthesize feedback for product and operations teams. **Referral Generation**: Proactively cultivate referrals from satisfied customers as a core GTM lever. Represent Picnic at local events and industry gatherings to build pipeline through relationships rather than cold outreach. You should have a background in business development, partnerships, strategy, or account management, ideally in a fast-paced or startup environment. Experience with B2B corporate relationships is essential. You're a people magnet with strong commercial instincts, genuine curiosity, and the ability to think strategically while executing tactically. You're comfortable with ambiguity, data-literate, and based in (or willing to relocate to) the San Francisco market.
