Northspyre is a real estate development management platform that serves leading developers managing over $500 billion in projects. The company operates one of the largest proprietary datasets in real estate development, covering budgets, contracts, invoices, costs, and change orders across thousands of active projects.
This role leads the analytical work behind Northspyre's new market intelligence platform, which transforms proprietary development data into research and benchmarks for developers, owners, and capital allocators. You will analyze complex development datasets, identify meaningful economic signals, and produce original research that defines the emerging category of Development Intelligence.
Key responsibilities include: designing and maintaining the Northspyre Index (recurring benchmarks on development activity, cost trends, and project performance); authoring in-depth reports analyzing trends in development costs, capital deployment, vendor performance, and project risk; exploring large datasets to identify trends and structural shifts in the real estate development market; cleaning and normalizing unstructured project data using SQL and Excel; translating research into clear narratives for developers, CFOs, and investors; collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, product, and sales teams; and representing Northspyre's market intelligence externally through webinars and industry publications.
Ideal candidates have experience analyzing markets or industries (real estate research, economic analysis, consulting, brokerage research, or financial analysis); strong analytical skills with large datasets; hands-on data experience cleaning and validating complex datasets; technical data skills including SQL (Snowflake preferred) and advanced Excel; domain fluency in real estate development or construction economics; clear communication skills; an independent research mindset; and strong intellectual curiosity about how markets work.
Bonus qualifications include experience producing market reports or industry research, background in real estate economics, commercial real estate research, development consulting, brokerage market analytics, equity research or financial analysis, familiarity with statistical or econometric analysis, and experience presenting research to professional audiences.
