Roadsurfer, Europe's largest campervan rental company, is seeking a Market Fleet Manager for the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). This is a strategic leadership role reporting directly to the Business Director - DACH, responsible for overseeing fleet operations across 5 regional markets managing over 4,000 vehicles at 40+ stations. You will lead all Regional Fleet Managers and provide indirect oversight of Fleet Managers, Technicians, Damage Detection Experts, and Spare Parts Experts. Your core mission is to drive fleet availability, optimize repair turnaround times, ensure cost efficiency, and maintain quality standards across the entire DACH market. Key responsibilities include: owning the Maintenance, Repair, and Fleet Transfer budget; defining repair strategies based on damage reports and operational priorities; maintaining strong vehicle availability through workshop coordination and spare parts management; building and optimizing internal and external workshop networks to improve turnaround times and cost efficiency; leading and developing technical teams (fleet managers, technicians, damage detection experts); and tracking KPIs such as repair cost, time, and damage detection accuracy to drive continuous improvement. You will work in a fast-paced, multi-site environment requiring travel to internal stations and external vendors. The role demands strong analytical and budgeting skills, confident leadership, excellent stakeholder management, and proficiency in fleet management systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.). Required qualifications: degree or apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or similar field; 8+ years in fleet management, maintenance/repair, or workshop management; 5+ years direct people management experience in technical/operational environments; working proficiency in German and English.
