Despegar (Decolar), part of the Prosus ecosystem and a leader in Latin American travel for over 25 years, is seeking a Market Associate to drive growth and partnership success in the hotel vertical.
In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to an initial portfolio of hotel partners, building deep relationships and positioning Decolar as a strategic partner in their success. You will own the full lifecycle of your portfolio accounts—managing availability, tariff competitiveness, conversion rates, and relationship health regardless of hotel size.
Key responsibilities include:
• Building trust-based relationships with hotel partners by understanding their business, seasonal objectives, and operational challenges
• Managing portfolio health through continuous monitoring of availability, pricing competitiveness, and conversion metrics
• Conducting ongoing commercial negotiations around tariffs, inventory, promotions, and paid media across Decolar brands (Decolar, HotelDo, etc.)
• Hosting regular business reviews and optimization calls with partners, always landing on concrete action plans with clear timelines
• Performing data-driven diagnostics using Metabase dashboards and Excel analysis to identify patterns and prioritize high-opportunity accounts
• Translating data insights and market context into actionable recommendations that partners can immediately implement
• Managing initiative pipelines with CRM discipline—mapping opportunities, updating status, and following up on schedule
• Educating partners on product updates, pricing, and distribution changes to drive tangible hotel revenue gains
• Representing Decolar at regional trade shows, industry events, and partner visits to build networks and identify off-dashboard opportunities
You will work in a culture that values autonomy, rapid learning, collaboration, and ownership. The team is diverse, non-siloed, and embedded in a global ecosystem with real growth opportunities.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 3–5 years of experience in travel (hotels, tour operators, receptivos, OTAs) or B2B consultative sales/account management in dynamic environments
• Bachelor's degree in Administration, Tourism, Economics, Marketing, or related fields
• Consultative mindset: listen first, understand before recommending, build trust through substance
• Comfortable with data: strong Excel skills, fluent dashboard reading, curiosity to understand the "why" behind numbers
• Clear communication and active listening; ability to lead commercial conversations from scratch
• Owner mentality: takes initiative, closes loops, doesn't wait for instruction
• CRM experience and familiarity with Google Workspace
• Availability for frequent regional travel
• Native Portuguese; intermediate English; Spanish is a plus
• Passion for travel and online hospitality business
