Relativity Space is building the Terran R rocket vehicle to deliver payloads to orbit using advanced 3D printing and manufacturing techniques. The Stage Manufacturing team owns the build of Terran R's primary structures, turning design into reality through innovative processes and scaled production. As a Manufacturing Engineer II, Structures, you will be a key technical contributor on the shop floor, supporting primary structure assembly work centers. Your responsibilities include clearing production barriers, keeping assembly operations moving, and championing process improvements across multiple work centers. You'll incorporate learnings from the first Terran R build to optimize operations and drive efficiency. You will collaborate closely with a diverse team of design, manufacturing, and reliability engineers, as well as internal production teams and external vendors. A core part of your role is creating work instructions, specifications, and best practices to standardize processes across the manufacturing team. You'll also provide Design for Manufacturing feedback to structures teams during development, prototype, and flight build phases. This is a hands-on role requiring direct engagement with complex assembly builds. You'll make risk decisions regularly to disposition issues and keep production on track. The position offers the opportunity to shape how Relativity builds rockets at scale, applying automation, machine learning, and advanced technologies as the vehicle and factory evolve. You'll work in a culture emphasizing autonomy, ownership, and impact at every level. This is an early-stage moment where your technical contributions will directly influence the product, process, and company direction.
