Salary: USD 129,000 - 171,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join the Barracuda missile division. This role is central to shaping manufacturing design and ensuring production quality across the company's advanced defense systems.
You will own the manufacturing lifecycle for assigned products, from initial prototyping through full-scale production. Key responsibilities include:
- Execute manufacturing strategy and process design for missile and related hardware products
- Partner with design engineers to embed design-for-manufacturability best practices early in development, facilitating smooth transitions from design through prototype to rate production
- Create and maintain critical manufacturing documentation including Material Bills of Materials (MBOMs), work instructions, and production requirements
- Advise on quality management systems and business application programs relevant to your manufacturing area
- Collaborate with internal teams and manufacturing planning to define capacity actions that meet customer needs
- Develop production and test methodologies that enable scaling of complex products
- Travel to supplier and partner sites for sourcing, troubleshooting, and process implementation
Required qualifications include a technical degree (engineering, math, or hard science), 5+ years of manufacturing or prototyping experience, and hands-on hardware manufacturing experience (machining, fabrication, soldering, assembly, etc.). You must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
Preferred experience includes harness and PCBA fabrication, SMT process knowledge, hands-on work with R/C or autonomous flight vehicles, and current active Secret clearance. The ideal candidate combines strong technical fundamentals with creative problem-solving in resource-constrained environments and demonstrates genuine passion for manufacturing excellence and continuous learning.
