Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Analytics to join its Digital Manufacturing team in Costa Mesa, California. This role focuses on optimizing manufacturing operations through advanced digital solutions and data-driven decision-making.
You will work closely with manufacturing leadership to develop and implement strategies that enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve quality across product lines. Your primary responsibilities include conducting detailed analysis of manufacturing data—including production metrics, process flow, and resource utilization—to identify improvement opportunities. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to align manufacturing strategies with business objectives and monitor industry trends to keep processes at the cutting edge.
Key deliverables include creating comprehensive documentation of manufacturing processes, leading lean manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives, implementing and refining manufacturing KPIs, and providing strategic input on capacity planning and workforce management. You'll also support new product development from a manufacturing perspective, ensuring manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Data Science, Software Engineering, or related field (master's preferred). You need 5+ years of experience in manufacturing strategy or analysis roles with a proven track record of driving tangible results. Strong proficiency with data visualization and analysis tools is essential: Python, TypeScript, SQL, Tableau, PowerBI, Palantir Foundry, or MS VBA. You should have deep familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and statistical analysis. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced environments are critical. U.S. Person status is required due to access to export-controlled information.
