Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer, Analytics to join its Digital Manufacturing team in Costa Mesa, California. This role focuses on optimizing manufacturing operations through advanced digital solutions and data-driven decision-making.
You will work closely with manufacturing leadership to develop and implement strategies that enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve quality across product lines and new product development initiatives. Your primary responsibilities include conducting detailed analysis of manufacturing data—including production metrics, process flow, and resource utilization—to identify improvement opportunities and drive tangible business outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Analyzing manufacturing data and creating actionable insights using visualization and statistical tools
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align manufacturing strategies with business objectives
- Leading lean manufacturing, kaizen, and Six Sigma initiatives to optimize production processes
- Developing and implementing manufacturing KPIs to measure performance and drive accountability
- Supporting capacity planning and workforce management to ensure operational scalability
- Monitoring industry trends and best practices to maintain competitive manufacturing processes
- Providing strategic input into new product development from a manufacturability and cost perspective
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation of processes and continuous improvement efforts
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Data Science, Software Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred). You must have 5+ years of experience in manufacturing strategy or analysis roles with a proven track record of implementing insights that drove measurable results. Strong proficiency with data visualization and analysis tools (Python, SQL, Tableau, PowerBI, PLTR Foundry, VBA) is essential, along with expertise in statistical analysis and manufacturing software. Experience with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma is required. You must possess or be able to maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment are critical.
