Anduril Industries, a defense technology company transforming military capabilities through advanced AI and autonomy, seeks a Manager of Technical Revenue Accounting to lead and elevate revenue accounting processes. This role manages a team of two Senior Technical Revenue Accountants and serves as the subject-matter expert for complex revenue accounting matters under ASC 606.
Key responsibilities include directly managing and mentoring the technical revenue accounting team, providing expert guidance on complex revenue treatments, standalone selling price assessments, and technical accounting interpretations. You will proactively track and analyze contract review throughput, report performance insights to senior leadership, and implement strategic work assignments to maintain optimal review pace as contract volumes evolve.
The role requires preparing and reviewing technical accounting contract checklists, memos, detailed revenue cycle walkthroughs, and position papers. You will foster productive relationships across finance, accounting, program management, and legal departments to identify continuous improvement opportunities in automation, scale, precision, and standardization. Close partnership with the Revenue Operations team ensures accurate, timely revenue recognition and reporting each month.
You will contribute to team leadership by inspiring, coaching, and mentoring direct reports in an environment emphasizing continuous professional development and operational excellence. The position includes identifying and leading automation opportunities to enhance revenue accounting processes, supporting the external audit process, and managing audit support documentation.
Required qualifications include 4+ years of progressive accounting experience with significant revenue exposure, demonstrated team leadership in fast-paced environments, and deep knowledge of ASC 606 principles. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential, along with proven ability to manage competing priorities in high-growth settings.
Preferred qualifications include experience in high-technology or advanced manufacturing, defense/government contract background, Big 4 accounting firm experience, active or inactive CPA certification, and familiarity with Oracle Fusion, Salesforce, Slack, and Palantir Foundry. U.S. Person status is required due to access to U.S. export-controlled information.
