Cartesia is hiring a Sales Development Manager to lead the GTM Strategists team, which generates pipeline for the sales organization. The team operates two motions: Outbound Strategists open doors at named accounts through research, account planning, and multi-threaded outreach; Inbound Strategists handle first conversations with developers, startups, and enterprises, routing them to the appropriate next step.
The role combines player-coach and builder responsibilities. You will own pipeline and qualified meeting targets across both inbound and outbound motions, driving consistent execution week over week. You'll set outbound strategy, including named account selection, stakeholder mapping, and messaging for a technical audience. As the inbound motion scales, you'll build it out from initial speed-to-lead through discovery, qualification, and routing across AE handoff, self-serve, partnerships, and nurture.
You'll coach the team through 1:1s, call reviews, and account plan reviews, stepping in on high-priority accounts to model excellence. You'll partner with Account Executives on account strategy and lead quality, and with Growth on product usage signals and campaign follow-up. You'll hire, onboard, and ramp new Strategists while building career paths into AE and other roles. You own team playbooks, messaging frameworks, and reporting, bringing prospect feedback back to GTM and Product leadership. You'll also test new AI tools, automate repetitive work, and help your team move faster than a team twice its size.
Cartesia's mission is to architect AI that learns from and interacts with the world like humans do. The founding team invented State Space Models (SSMs) at Stanford AI Lab and combines deep expertise in model innovation and systems engineering with design-minded product engineering. The company is funded by Index Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Factory, Conviction, General Catalyst, SV Angel, Databricks, and others, with 90+ angels including world-leading AI experts.
