Salary: USD 90,000 - 120,000 / annual
AppDirect is a subscription commerce platform enabling organizations to sell any product through any channel on any device as a service. They power millions of subscriptions worldwide and are seeking a Manager of Revenue Accounting to join their international revenue accounting team.
In this role, you will be a foundational member of the revenue accounting function, responsible for both hands-on execution and strategic policy work. You will perform detailed contract review and analysis for non-standard arrangements to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment under ASC 606, thoroughly documenting conclusions. You will lead and execute revenue-related month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Key responsibilities include partnering with system teams to enhance NetSuite ARM utilization and improve process efficiency; identifying bottlenecks, manual work, and automation opportunities across the revenue recognition and close process; collaborating with revenue operations, pricing, and product teams to conduct Standalone Selling Price (SSP) studies; participating in M&A revenue-related integration; updating revenue policies and position papers to reflect evolving business models and new products; and assisting with external audit processes and ad hoc cross-functional projects.
You will thrive in ambiguity, enjoy building scalable processes from the ground up, and bring deep expertise in ASC 606 / IFRS 15. You are equally comfortable leading the revenue close and shaping policy, and you collaborate naturally across Finance, Legal, Sales, and Operations. Your work will directly influence how a rapidly growing global business recognizes and reports revenue.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred
- 6+ years of progressive revenue accounting experience, ideally in SaaS, subscription, or marketplace environments
- Strong technical revenue accounting skills with deep understanding of IFRS 15 / ASC 606 revenue recognition standards
- Proficiency in NetSuite ARM (Advanced Revenue Management) system
- Experience with M&A revenue integration or purchase accounting is a plus
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with track record of identifying and implementing process improvements
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to communicate complex technical accounting concepts to cross-functional, non-finance stakeholders
