Salary: USD 106,812 - 140,190 / annual
Oscar Health is seeking a Manager, Regulatory Reporting to join its Compliance team in New York. This role manages Oscar's compliance programs and regulatory activities, overseeing the development, implementation, and management of all compliance programs to align with healthcare regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, Medicare, ACA, Medicaid); leading the regulatory reporting team with guidance, direction, and mentorship; coordinating responses to data submission requests for internal and external audits; developing dashboards and inventory processing methods to ensure accuracy of regulatory reporting; collaborating with internal business leaders to improve end-to-end reporting processes; directing teams to meet submission timelines; reviewing technical documents for accuracy and quality; proactive problem-solving and risk mitigation; developing relationships with departmental leaders to understand business operations and identify areas of risk; providing regular updates to executive management and the Board of Directors; providing training and education to the enterprise on compliance topics; ensuring all teams comply with procedures; delegating tasks effectively; and developing and implementing compliance improvement plans.
The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree or commensurate work experience, 5+ years payer experience, 3+ years leading direct reports and teams, 3+ years in healthcare or related fields with policies and procedures, 3+ years driving compliance with regulatory and accreditation audit/policy requirements, 3+ years translating regulations into operational procedures, 3+ years managing multiple critical external-facing deliverables simultaneously, 3+ years in fast-paced operations environments, and 3+ years in implementation, program building, and maintenance.
Bonus qualifications include Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) certification, fluency with State Department of Insurance audit and reporting obligations, State DOI audit management experience, startup or health tech environment experience, and Third Party Administrator (TPA) setting experience.
The position is hybrid, requiring 3 days in-office per week with Thursdays as a mandatory in-office day. Reports to the Director, Regulatory Audit & Reporting.
