SentiLink is hiring a Manager of Quantitative Risk Management to lead the model governance function end-to-end. You'll manage a team of 3+ data scientists and governance professionals, owning strategy, execution, and customer relationships for all model risk and governance work.
The role sits at a critical intersection: SentiLink's fraud detection and identity verification models power financial institutions in real time, and those models must satisfy customers' model risk teams, regulators, and auditors without slowing product velocity. You'll own the fundamentals of model governance—performance monitoring, drift detection, fair lending assessments, validation, model inventory, and change management—and set the long-term strategy for how the company executes these disciplines.
Key responsibilities include leading and scaling the team as the company grows; owning cross-functional relationships with Data Science, Engineering, Partner Success, and Sales; managing direct customer relationships with model risk teams at banks and fintechs; preparing validation reports and governance documentation for internal leadership, customers, auditors, and regulators; and balancing strategic initiatives against customer and regulatory demands. You'll be hands-on when needed—mentoring the team, unblocking deals, and moving critical work forward.
You'll need 8+ years in model risk management, model validation, or quantitative risk, including proven experience building or scaling a governance/risk team. You must have 4+ years of people management experience and deep knowledge of financial regulation (SR 11-7, SR 26-2, OCC guidance, fair lending). Technical depth is essential: you should be able to read models, interrogate methodology, and work comfortably with data scientists. Python and SQL proficiency required. A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Math, Statistics, CS, Engineering, Economics, or related STEM) is required. You must be legally authorized to work and reside in the US.
Nice-to-haves include experience with fraud, identity verification, credit risk, or financial risk models, and prior work supporting model governance at banks or with regulators.
