ServiceNow is seeking a Manager of Product Design for the Customer & Partner Experience team, specifically leading design efforts within ServiceNow University—the company's learning platform offering on-demand courses, guided learning paths, and certifications for customers, partners, and employees.
In this hands-on player/coach role, you will manage a team of UX designers while leading multiple design programs. You'll be responsible for the full product lifecycle—from research and ideation through prototyping, testing, and delivery—while fostering a collaborative, high-performance design culture.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, mentoring, and inspiring a team of UX designers with clear goals, priorities, and expectations aligned to product vision and user needs
- Guiding designers through complete product development cycles while promoting UX best practices
- Providing regular feedback, coaching, and career development to grow individual and team capabilities
- Ensuring effective cross-functional collaboration between designers, product managers, engineers, and researchers
- Overseeing the team's use of Design Systems to drive consistency, scalability, and system evolution
- Distilling complex problems into actionable design goals and guiding rapid iterations
- Promoting knowledge sharing across distributed design teams
- Delivering compelling presentations to executives articulating UX vision, product strategy, and design rationale
- Advocating for user needs and experience quality in cross-functional leadership meetings
ServiceNow's Product Design team emphasizes empathy and user-centered design, with design having an intentional seat at the table alongside engineering and product management. The Customer & Partner Experience team designs digital experiences across multiple portals including Developer, University, Store, Partner Portal, Documentation, Best Practices Library, Universal Profile, and MyNow.
Qualifications:
Basic: BA/BS degree or higher in Design, Design Communication, Human-Computer Interaction, or equivalent education/experience in related fields; experience participating in complete product development lifecycle of web/software applications; experience in UX design or industry experience (corporate, software, web, or agency).
Preferred: 3+ years managing people and/or leading design teams; 8+ years in UX Design and/or Interaction Design; experience integrating AI into work processes and using AI to solve problems; strong Enterprise Design skills; portfolio of work samples; ability to distill complex problems into clean solutions; excellent teamwork, communication, and technical problem-solving skills; demonstrated initiative, humor, and "make it work" ethos.
