Hinge Health, a digital health company operating in a regulated space, is seeking a Manager of Legal Operations to build and scale the operational backbone of its Legal & Compliance team. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, you will own core legal operations functions including outside counsel relationships and spend management, e-billing (Brightflag), budgeting and forecasting, contract lifecycle management (Ironclad), and legal technology strategy.
Key responsibilities include: leading the legal operations function and setting its strategic roadmap; managing the team's annual OKR planning and serving as a central coordination point for leadership initiatives; providing department-wide visibility into priorities, resources, and execution risks; evaluating and implementing the legal technology stack; simplifying legal intake processes through systems like Streamline and Zendesk; owning outside counsel vendor relationships and ensuring clear scoping and accurate billing; driving e-billing processes to give leadership real-time spend visibility; building and maintaining the legal budget and forecast in partnership with Finance; managing Ironclad configuration, templates, and workflows; identifying and implementing process improvements; supporting cross-functional legal and compliance programs; and maintaining knowledge management systems.
In your first three months, you'll develop deep understanding of current tools, budget structure, and outside counsel relationships while identifying quick wins for process improvement. By six months, you'll own the legal budget cycle end-to-end with clear variance tracking and have implemented at least one significant process improvement or new technology capability. Within a year, you'll be recognized as the go-to legal operations owner with smooth, scalable processes for spend, e-billing, and contract lifecycle management.
You are a systems thinker who enjoys turning ambiguity into scalable processes and gets satisfaction from building infrastructure that enables others. You take end-to-end ownership, build trust quickly with legal professionals and business stakeholders through clear communication and reliability, and thrive managing multiple priorities in fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environments.
