The Internal Product Analytics (IPA) team is the analytics backbone of Datadog's Product organization. As Manager of this team, you will directly manage a team of data analysts, partner closely with product managers, and collaborate with platform engineering teams to set the direction for how the team delivers analysis, builds AI-first tooling, and partners across functions. Key responsibilities include: - Guide and grow the Internal Product Analytics team by managing, coaching, and developing data analysts while maintaining high quality standards and ensuring the team's output is trusted across the Product organization. - Partner directly with the PM organization to frame important questions, shape analysis, and deliver answers in actionable forms. - Own recurring analytics work including business reviews, feature request analysis, usage and adoption tracking, and pricing analysis—making this work consistent, repeatable, and fast. - Build AI-first analytics by designing and shipping AI-powered workflows and agents that automate data querying, synthesis, and reporting, allowing analysis to scale without simply adding headcount. - Partner across functions (Finance, Data Platform, Engineering, Revenue) to align on definitions, source the right data, and turn raw signals into decisions while building trust with cross-functional partners. - Turn data into decisions for leadership by querying product, CRM, and financial data to surface insights and present them clearly to PMs and senior leadership. - Set the standard for product analytics across the organization by defining metrics, definitions, and analytical frameworks that leadership and every PM rely on as a single source of truth. You bring 6+ years in product analytics, data analytics, or a related field, with 2+ years managing or leading a team. You have a strong track record partnering across functions and aligning stakeholders with different priorities. You are fluent in SQL, comfortable with modern data warehouses and BI tooling, and can move from raw data to defensible answers independently. You have hands-on experience building or deploying AI-first analytics and are proficient with AI tools like Claude, including prompt design and day-to-day analytical application.
