Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Manager of Industrial Engineering to lead manufacturing operations and strategy. You will oversee the industrial engineering team responsible for designing, optimizing, and scaling Anduril's advanced defense hardware manufacturing—including static equipment, ground vehicles, sensors, undersea systems, and flight vehicles.
In this role, you will lead the industrial engineering team, setting goals, providing direction, and evaluating performance across product lines from prototyping through full-scale production. You'll develop strategic concepts for new manufacturing facilities and own key differentiators in Anduril's production approach. You will guide the design of production lines and workstation layouts using data-driven methodologies, balancing low-rate and full-rate production needs.
You'll set key objectives for manufacturing improvement aligned with business and product roadmaps, driving continuous improvement initiatives that reduce costs, enhance quality, and maximize throughput. Collaboration is essential—you'll work proactively with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Business Operations teams to identify and resolve high-variation processes, imbalances, and bottlenecks.
Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, ergonomic, regulatory, and quality standards; producing and maintaining capacity plans, line layouts, CapEx plans, staffing allocations, and time standards; and establishing robust training and documentation programs. You'll foster a culture of innovation, teamwork, and accountability within the industrial engineering department while serving as the technical expert for complex industrial engineering issues.
Required: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field; 5-7 years of industrial engineering experience in a managerial or supervisory role; 7+ years total industrial engineering experience, preferably in high-growth environments; proven track record leading teams and developing new manufacturing lines and facilities; experience driving production scaling; world-class attention to detail and mission assurance; genuine interest in manufacturing and continuous learning; excellent project management and cross-functional leadership skills.
