Instructure is seeking a Manager for HR Shared Services to lead the front-door function for employee HR questions and support. You will manage and coach a team of HR specialists, handling both routine inquiries and complex, escalation-level cases that require judgment and sensitivity. Your responsibilities include owning the full lifecycle of escalations and compliance-sensitive issues, managing AskHR reporting and dashboards to surface actionable insights for HR leadership, and monitoring the knowledge base to improve self-service and reduce unnecessary escalations. You will drive process improvement initiatives, particularly identifying opportunities for automation to handle routine volume more efficiently. Specific process ownership includes immigration support, global compliance, background checks, and related reporting. You will partner cross-functionally with Payroll, IT, and other HR Centers of Excellence to ensure seamless support across the organization.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 3–5 years of HR experience, ideally in shared services, HR operations, or people support
- 1–2 years of team leadership experience
- Proficiency with case management and ticketing tools (Jira and Confluence); dashboard or reporting experience is a strong plus
- Sound judgment on sensitive or ambiguous cases and ability to escalate appropriately
- Experience with Workday or similar HRIS
- Exposure to global or multi-region HR support
