DOSS is building an AI-native operations cloud for physical product businesses, enabling them to manage procurement, inventory, orders, fulfillment, and finance in real time. The company recently raised a $55M Series B and is trusted by fast-growing operators to run critical operations.
As Manager of Forward Deployed Services, you will lead a team of Forward Deployed Product Managers (FDPMs) managing DOSS's most complex, high-value client relationships. This is a player-coach role where you stay deeply hands-on while leading your team through the full post-sales lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading a team of FDPMs across upper mid-market and enterprise clients, accountable for team output, client outcomes, and individual development
- Staying hands-on across the end-to-end post-sales lifecycle: discovery, design, implementation, and go-live
- Owning the success of DOSS's most complex client relationships and managing a portfolio that reflects your team's execution
- Conducting cross-functional deep dives to map end-to-end business processes and workflows across customer organizations
- Driving new product capabilities that support DOSS's push to upper mid-market and enterprise segments
- Setting best-in-class practices and processes across the team
- Translating process flows into product design and configuration within the DOSS platform
- Partnering with technical teams on integrations and data migrations
- Leading the portfolio through UAT, training, and go-live support; building relationships that drive retention and expansion
- Coaching FDPMs on client management, problem-solving frameworks, and delivery quality
- Driving automation and AI-forward improvements to DOSS's product and customer lifecycle processes
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in engineering, consulting, finance, operations, product operations, or technical program management, including time as a people manager with direct reports
- ERP implementation leadership experience: you've managed a team through an ERP implementation (scoping, configuration, data migration, go-live). Strongly preferred; alternatively, experience leading implementations of other complex B2B software or running professional services delivery teams
- Systems thinking capability: ability to traverse interconnected people, process, and technology systems, untangle complexity, and teach others to do the same
- Player-coach mentality: you lead by doing, roll up your sleeves, model the work, and hold the bar
- Thriving in high-intensity environments (startups, consulting, finance)
- Technical intuition: ability to grok hard engineering and logic problems from first principles and break them down for your team
- Intellectual firepower: ability to cut through noise, synthesize fast, and make good calls under ambiguity
- Strong analytical mindset; SQL experience is a plus but not required
