Crusoe is a vertically integrated AI infrastructure company that owns and operates the full stack—from power generation to AI workloads—to serve the world's most demanding AI compute needs. The company is solving the energy bottleneck in AI infrastructure through an energy-first approach.
In this role, you will own the financial and economic strategy around data center capacity utilization. Crusoe builds and commits significant data center capacity, power, and GPU-hours, but actual usage never fully matches what's been built or contracted. You will identify and quantify the financial impact of these gaps, determine how much capacity can be safely monetized or reclaimed, and make risk-informed decisions on how to exploit these opportunities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identify and size opportunities where built or committed data center capacity, power, compute, or other resources aren't converting to revenue
- Partner with Capacity Planning, Product Management, deal desk, and legal teams to understand technical, contractual, and commercial constraints
- Translate probabilistic or technical models into financial terms: expected value, cost of error, and recommended actions
- Make and defend risk-based decisions on capacity monetization to engineering, product, and leadership stakeholders
- Build durable financial frameworks for proven opportunities while managing live decisions on initiatives already in motion
You will work at the intersection of finance, infrastructure, and product strategy, translating complex technical and contractual realities into clear financial decision-making frameworks.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in financial planning, corporate finance, or capital allocation, ideally in capital-intensive industries (infrastructure, utilities, real estate) where you've evaluated committed capacity or capex against risk
- Comfort with probabilistic thinking, distributions, expected value, and tail risk; ability to work with technical models built by others
- Technical curiosity to quickly learn unfamiliar infrastructure concepts
- SQL proficiency or equivalent to pull and validate data independently
- Experience partnering with Product Management on pricing or product decisions
- Contract fluency to interpret customer agreements and constraints
- Ability to hold a position under stakeholder pressure when risk analysis supports a more cautious approach than desired
Bonus qualifications:
- Familiarity with GPU cloud economics
- Knowledge of data center design and utilization metrics
- Experience with interruptible, spot, or committed-use pricing models
