Eisen is a compliance operations infrastructure platform serving financial institutions (banks, brokerages, credit unions, crypto platforms). The company manages the entire lifecycle of regulated compliance, including escheatment and unclaimed property handling, delivering regulator-ready documentation. Eisen is trusted by major clients including AllianceBernstein, Coinbase, Adyen, and BinanceUS, and is scaling from 50 to 100+ customers.
You will be Eisen's first Head of Finance, reporting directly to the CEO. This is a builder-first role where you own the finance function end-to-end as a team of one initially. You are equally comfortable with tactical execution (reconciling invoices) and strategic communication (board presentations).
Key responsibilities include: building and maintaining the operating model (revenue, headcount, burn, runway); executing monthly close with outside accountants and producing reporting packages; owning the financial package and KPIs for leadership and board; managing revenue recognition and collections discipline for usage-based billing; controlling spend, vendor terms, and AP; maintaining 13-week cash forecasts and managing banking relationships; running the tax calendar and building financial controls for enterprise diligence; and scaling systems and processes to support 2x customer growth without proportional team expansion.
You will own the numbers end-to-end: the monthly close, the board deck, billing and revenue accuracy, and turning financial data into actionable insights for leadership and investors.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 6–10 years total experience, starting in investment banking or similar analytical role, then moving into operating finance at a venture-backed technology company
- Hands-on ownership of revenue recognition for usage-based or hybrid billing models
- Built and owned a full operating model (not just maintained one)
- Run or closely managed a monthly close, including with outsourced accountants
- Built the financial package delivered to a board
- Hands-on by preference; comfortable doing unglamorous work yourself without requiring an analyst
- Clear communicator who explains numbers to non-finance stakeholders and proactively flags insights
- Comfortable in fast-moving, high-stakes, regulated environments

NICE TO HAVE:
- Financial services, fintech, or regulated-industry experience
- Experience running a billing system or revenue cleanup
- FP&A depth at a company scaling through Series A and beyond
- Early-stage startup experience building a finance function from scratch
