You will join the Financial Operations team as a Financial Operations Executive, reporting to the Financial Operations Manager. This role offers broad exposure to financial operations in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment with direct impact on the company's growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reconcile collections and repayments between the platform and bank transactions daily for two core UK products, ensuring accuracy and timely completion (40%)
- Prepare and execute bank transfers and financial transactions daily with multiple banking partners, maintaining strong operational controls (20%)
- Monitor liquidity levels across the platform and support efficient cash management (10%)
- Collaborate with Capital Markets, Data Science, and Product teams to improve processes and enhance finance function efficiency (10%)
- Maintain auto auction proceeds, analyze invoices, and allocate costs to investors (10%)
- Support product maintenance through financial oversight, calculations, and checks (5%)
- Contribute to ad-hoc projects, analysis, and administrative support (5%)
The Financial Operations team is small, collaborative, and trusted, working across all products and departments. You will gain invaluable experience with growth potential.
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with reconciliations (bank, cash, payments, collections, or similar)
- Familiarity with executing payments/bank transfers and working with multiple bank accounts
- Alternative: Recent STEM graduate with strong quantitative and problem-solving abilities in large data volumes
- Ability to work to daily deadlines in a time-sensitive environment
- Proven track record of improving processes and delivering outcomes
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Capability to work self-sufficiently and identify issues to streamline workflows
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
- Energetic, motivated, and proactive problem-solving approach
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and G-Suite (including Sheets)
Nice-to-haves:
- Previous experience in Finance or similar role
- Experience in fintech, lending, payments, or financial services
- Exposure to consumer credit products or loan servicing
- Previous work with multiple banking partners or payment rails
- Experience supporting product launches or live product maintenance
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (lookups, pivot tables)
- Experience with SQL, BI tools, or data platforms
- Familiarity with automation tools or process improvement initiatives
- Exposure to AI tooling (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, CoPilot)
