Oscar Health is seeking a Manager of Data Analytics to join the Clinical Analytic Team. This role bridges technical data expertise with business acumen, focusing on solving complex data issues across the organization.
Key responsibilities include triaging and resolving data-related issues by partnering with engineering, data, and customer success teams. You'll serve as the first point of contact for production data issues, working to identify root causes and business impacts. The role requires strong communication skills to translate complex technical and data concepts for non-technical stakeholders, including packaging findings in clear, compelling presentations.
You'll own stakeholder relationships with internal and external leaders, identify opportunities to enhance operational and analytical dashboards, and develop models and tools to streamline processes and drive efficiencies. The position involves collaborating across the organization on strategic initiatives and may include leading a team of data analysts.
Required qualifications include 4+ years of technical work experience with analytical tools and report writing, 4+ years in client-facing roles managing external issues, and 2+ years working with large datasets to distill analyses into actionable insights. You'll need 2+ years of SQL proficiency (filtering, aggregating, CTEs) or equivalent Python/R skills with Pandas and statistical testing. Additional requirements: 1+ years with Google Sheets/Excel (VLookup, nested functions), and 1+ years in healthcare, finance, or insurance.
Bonus qualifications include 2+ years in healthcare analytics and reporting, experience with ticketing systems like Jira, and 2+ years developing dashboards with Looker or similar BI tools.
