Anthropic is building reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. This role leads Anthropic's cybersecurity sales effort across the Americas, focusing on financial services, healthcare and life sciences, and technology sectors.
As Manager of Cybersecurity Sales Specialists, you will build and lead a team of cybersecurity specialists who sell Claude's security capabilities to security teams and CISOs. Your team partners with Account Executives across industry verticals to lead security strategy and close security-focused deals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Hiring, onboarding, and developing a high-performing cybersecurity sales team
- Owning team forecast, pipeline health, and results across assigned business units
- Setting coverage models and establishing clear rules of engagement with sales and Applied AI leadership
- Building pipeline engines with Account Executives through existing accounts, outbound, events, and partner channels
- Coaching the team through complex, multi-stakeholder deals focused on customer problems (vulnerability finding/fixing, application security, security operations, secure AI agent deployment)
- Acting as executive sponsor with CISOs on strategic deals
- Streamlining security reviews, verification, and procurement processes
- Scaling enablement so Account Executives across all business units can identify and qualify security opportunities
- Translating customer feedback into product, safeguards, and marketing roadmap input
- Managing team performance through clear expectations, regular feedback, and development conversations
You'll shape how Anthropic sells security—coverage models, cross-functional collaboration, and how customer insights drive product development. The work directly supports Anthropic's mission: enabling defenders to use AI effectively during the transition through transformative AI.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience building and leading a cybersecurity sales team (direct, specialist, or overlay model) with hiring, coaching, and performance management responsibilities
- Track record closing complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise deals where security was the buyer or deciding approver; ability to coach others to do the same
- Deep fluency in how security teams operate, built through direct sales experience with CISOs, application security leads, and security engineers
- Depth in at least one security domain (application security, vulnerability management, security operations, cloud, data, identity, or endpoint security)
- Demonstrated ability to build a business from scratch through outbound and partner channels rather than inherited accounts
- Ability to lead through influence and authority, ensuring Account Executives and leaders bring your team in because it helps them win
- Consultative selling and coaching approach: understanding problems before proposing solutions, honest about product limitations
- Commitment to making AI systems safe and beneficial
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and professional experience
- Field of study relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Background selling security in financial services, healthcare/life sciences, or technology sectors; understanding of how security is bought and regulated in these industries
- Experience managing managers and individual contributors, or scaling a sales team through rapid growth
- Experience leading teams selling AI, developer, or data platform products to technical buyers
- Prior experience as a security practitioner or sales engineer before moving into sales leadership
