Parts Town, a fast-growing distributor of restaurant equipment, HVAC, and residential appliance parts, is seeking a Manager of Business Intelligence and Data Insights to lead their Insights and Intelligence (I&I) team. This role combines people leadership with strategic data work, requiring you to manage and mentor a team of analysts while driving transformation across the organization.
You will serve as a thought leader and strategic advisor, providing data-driven insights to improve performance across all business functions. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining business intelligence solutions (discovery, data ingestion, transformation, front-end development), designing performance measurement systems against strategic initiatives, and managing high-impact analytics projects. You'll act as a liaison between technical resources and business stakeholders, translating business needs into actionable requirements and continuously enhancing analytics processes, infrastructure, and team capabilities.
The ideal candidate holds a BS/BA in business, finance, statistics, computer science, information systems, or related field, with 5+ years in analytical roles and 5+ years developing within BI tools (Qlik, Tableau, PowerBI). You should have hands-on experience with big data management tools (BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks), ERP/SAP data, and relational database management systems. Strong proficiency in data architecture, data transformation, and AI solutions (with attention to safety and privacy) is essential. You're independent, resourceful, and comfortable with shifting priorities and ad-hoc problem-solving. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and the ability to influence without authority are critical. You thrive in fast-paced environments, adapt well to change, and have a passion for data storytelling and visualization.
