Jerry.ai is a fintech/insurtech platform that consolidates car and home asset management—insurance, maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics—in a single app. Founded in 2019, the company has grown to 5M+ customers, raised $240M+, scaled revenue 70X, and achieved profitability in early 2024. They are now expanding into adjacent verticals (home, motorcycle, RV) with a goal to reach 50M customers and become a $10B business within four years.
The BizOps & Analytics team is a core strategic function staffed by former McKinsey, BCG, and Bain consultants. Each team member is embedded within a business unit (Growth Marketing, Product Development, AI & Automation, or Strategic Partnerships) and owns the analytical function end-to-end for that domain.
As Manager, you will lead and grow the BizOps & Analytics function. You'll sit on the central team but be embedded in one of Jerry's core business areas, owning analytical strategy and execution for that unit. Your responsibilities include:
• Define the right problems: Understand what business question each analysis answers and what decision it informs. Push back on flawed questions and ensure analytical work is mission-critical.
• Data and insights: Define metrics, build reports, run analyses, design experiments, and surface insights that move key metrics. Work independently with SQL (Clickhouse), Metabase, Python, and Jupyter Hub.
• Drive outcomes: Bring recommendations to product, growth, finance, and operations counterparts. Communicate findings clearly, explain causation, and drive next steps.
• Team leadership: Manage and mentor BizOps team members, ensuring they are solving high-impact problems and developing as analytical leaders.
The culture emphasizes substance over process: no slide decks, no corporate bloat, hands-on execution, and direct communication. Every project must materially change business trajectory. You'll work with insatiable learners who care deeply about solving difficult problems and making tangible impact.
Required: 4+ years at a consulting firm, investment bank, or high-growth tech company. Strong analytical skills (Excel, SQL, Python). Track record of owning ambiguous problems and delivering impact. Clear, persuasive communicator who influences leadership-level decisions. First-principles thinker who asks "what are we solving?" before diving into data.
