InfoSum, WPP's privacy-first data collaboration technology platform, is seeking a Management Accountant to join its Finance Team. This role is responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of monthly management accounts for InfoSum legal entities within the WPP EMEA Group.
Key responsibilities include:
Month-End & Reporting: Take ownership of monthly Management Accounts preparation, ensuring accurate reconciliation to Trial Balance. Prepare and post journals including accruals and salary postings in line with IFRS standards. Lead monthly variance analysis against budget and forecast, providing clear insights and exception reporting to support business decision-making. Investigate and resolve post month-end queries promptly and ensure all supporting schedules reconcile to P&L and Balance Sheet.
Financial Controls & Audit: Own the month-end reporting pack ensuring compliance with Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR). Support SOX, interim, and year-end audits by providing documentation and responding to auditor requests. Prepare direct and indirect tax filings for UK legal entities and support external advisers for non-UK entities.
Group Reporting: Prepare management and external reporting submissions within BFC (Business Financial Consolidation). Partner with EMEA finance team to resolve reporting queries and ensure submission accuracy. Produce and submit monthly financial commentaries to EMEA stakeholders and quarterly/year-end reporting packs.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and drive efficiencies. Act as key contact for Junior Management Accountant, managing queries and ensuring effective collaboration. Support finance and business improvement initiatives and ad hoc projects.
Required qualifications: CIMA, ACA, or ACCA qualified. Strong Excel skills with ability to analyze, manipulate, and present financial data. Highly organized with excellent attention to detail. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities. Proactive, enthusiastic approach with willingness to take ownership.
Desirable: Experience with Xero accounting software or BFC/similar group reporting systems. The role offers broad exposure across financial reporting, controls, audit, and business partnering within a fast-paced, global organization.
