Zenos is a well-funded AI/robotics startup delivering AI productivity to the physical world, targeting a trillion-dollar market opportunity. You will join as a Machine Learning Engineer with expansive scope in an early-stage company. Your responsibilities include designing, building, and refining robust and performant ML models; establishing standards and defining the tech stack for the AI/ML roadmap; mentoring new hires as the team scales; and collaborating across the organization to solve foundational challenges in robotics and physical AI. You'll work on varied problems spanning perception, terrain mapping, proprioception, object recognition, segmentation, action planning, vision language models (VLAs), reinforcement learning, and deep neural networks. The role requires comfort with ambiguity, independent operation, and willingness to dive into multiple parts of the stack to build something fundamentally new.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of professional experience in top-tier startups, leading technology companies, or elite research labs
- Experience designing, building, and refining robust and performant ML models
- Expertise in perception, terrain mapping, proprioception, object recognition, segmentation, action planning, VLAs, reinforcement learning, and deep neural nets
- Demonstrated ownership mindset and ability to work independently
- Comfort with ambiguity and defining problems while solving them
- Excitement about robotics and hardware
- Ability to mentor and work collaboratively with strong technical teams
