OpenAI's Finance Program Management Office (FinPMO) is seeking an M&A Finance Integration Lead to own and scale the organization's finance integration model across mergers and acquisitions. This is a highly cross-functional, transaction-driven role reporting to finance leadership.
You will serve as the central point of accountability for finance workstreams across the full M&A lifecycle, from deal diligence through post-close integration. Your responsibilities include:
- Defining and building standardized, scalable M&A finance integration frameworks to drive consistent execution across multiple simultaneous deals
- Ensuring timely, accurate M&A diligence including historical financials, revenue, equity, tax, and procurement analysis
- Leading integration planning for deal close readiness across accounting, valuation, payroll, banking, entity structure, and controls
- Translating deal terms and integration strategy into actionable workplans, timelines, and dependency maps
- Ensuring on-track deal execution across accounting, operational integration, systems cutover, and reporting
- Proactively surfacing post-close deal integration risks and driving mitigation plans
- Partnering closely with Accounting, Strategic Finance, Corporate Development, Equity, Procurement, Treasury, Risk, and Legal teams
You will bring structure to ambiguity, translate deal complexity into executable plans, and drive successful M&A outcomes. The role is based in San Francisco with a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week. OpenAI offers relocation assistance to new employees.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years of experience across M&A, deal integration, and finance transformation, ideally in an Investment Banking/PE-backed environment and/or high-growth technology company
- Demonstrated experience leading multiple, concurrent M&A negotiations and deal integrations with complex cross-functional dependencies
- Strong understanding of deal accounting, controls, and reporting in fast-changing environments
- Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field (CPA or MBA a plus)
