Salary: USD 51,000 - 56,000 / annual

In this role, you will serve as a Loan Officer Assistant (Sales Assistant), supporting the customer journey from application through initial disclosures and closing. You will work remotely as part of a fully distributed, U.S.-based team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Gathering required documentation to complete loan applications
- Working with borrowers and partners to facilitate pre-approval for the Knock Bridge Loan
- Managing a pipeline of 200+ loan applications per month per loan officer
- Ensuring minimum submission requirements and documents are met before loan disclosure
- Following up on disclosed loans to ensure timely signing
- Assisting loan officers and other loan assistants with borrower requests
- Assigning new loan files to loan officers
- Understanding TRID guidelines and loan estimates
- Collaborating with internal risk and loan officers to ensure proper setup and documentation in Encompass
- Delivering excellent customer service and maintaining responsiveness to internal and external stakeholders
- Working autonomously in a remote, tech-enabled environment
- Meeting or exceeding individual quotas and company metrics
- Continuously learning and expanding knowledge of mortgage origination sales
- Supporting ad-hoc projects and team needs as they arise

Requirements:
- 1+ year of experience as a Mortgage Loan Originator or Sales Assistant (Loan Officer Assistant)
- Active NMLS license or ability to acquire one within the first 90 days of hire
- Experience using LOS, Meridian Link, Blend, and/or Google Suite
- Comfort with change and fast-paced, fully remote startup environment
- Strong team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to review and interpret internal guidelines
- Process-oriented with keen attention to detail
- Proven success working 100% remote in prior positions with distributed teams
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to set up and operate a computer and communicate via telephone or internet video applications
