Perplexity AI seeks a Litigation Paralegal to serve as the operational backbone of its litigation practice, with a focus on eDiscovery and legal operations. Reporting to Senior Counsel, Litigation, you will manage end-to-end eDiscovery workflows across multiple matters, including legal hold notices, custodian management, collection, processing, review, and production. You'll be the day-to-day point of contact for eDiscovery and litigation-support vendors, scoping engagements, tracking data volumes and costs, reviewing invoices, and ensuring compliance with negotiated rates and Outside Counsel Guidelines. You will own intake and triage for new matters and third-party legal requests (subpoenas, summonses, preservation demands), routing each to the appropriate attorney with clear summaries and deadlines. You'll support case management through file organization, docketing, deadline tracking, and stakeholder updates. You'll also manage outside counsel relationships, billing records, matter budgets, and accrual tracking. A key aspect of this role is building and improving systems—intake workflows, response playbooks, matter templates, trackers, and escalation paths—so that recurring problems are solved structurally rather than through heroics. You'll support broader litigation and legal-operations projects, including tool implementations and vendor evaluations. Required: 3+ years as a paralegal, legal assistant, or litigation coordinator at a law firm or in-house legal department; deep civil litigation knowledge; hands-on eDiscovery experience across the EDRM lifecycle; vendor management experience; ability to manage high-volume concurrent matters with meticulous attention to detail; strong communication skills; and demonstrated discretion with confidential material. Nice to have: paralegal certificate or degree; experience with eDiscovery review platforms, legal research databases, document management systems, and legal billing software; subpoena processing experience; demonstrated AI tool fluency; high-growth tech startup experience; and interest in AI law and regulation.
