Salary: USD 146,000 - 225,000 / annual
Affirm is seeking a Licensing Manager to support the Legal, Compliance, and Public Affairs team in managing the company's licensing portfolio and regulatory relationships across U.S. and international markets. This role reports to the Director, Global Licensing and Regulatory Programs.
Key responsibilities include supporting new product and service launches related to state licensing and reporting (money transmission, servicing/collections, lending, international expansion); working cross-functionally with legal, public affairs, compliance, finance, and tax teams to meet regulatory obligations; maintaining a central repository for licensing and reporting requirements with workflows and regulatory guidance; collaborating on state licensing annual reports, MSB call reports, and other regulatory filings; ensuring timely regulatory submissions and supervising ongoing obligations in licensing management tools; leading renewal application preparation across jurisdictions; coordinating NMLS licensing and reporting; analyzing and developing new processes leveraging AI to increase efficiency; assisting in building licensing requirements into management systems; and partnering with senior leadership and the team on licensing projects and initiatives.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of licensing, compliance, or regulatory experience, ideally in consumer financial services. Required skills include outstanding time management, administrative and organizational abilities, project management expertise, critical thinking, analytical capabilities, and excellent written and verbal communication. The role demands humility, integrity, independence, and comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with shifting priorities and ambiguity. Candidates should be inquisitive, eager to learn, and willing to take ownership while working with limited supervision.
