Moody's Global Privacy Team is seeking an experienced Legal Specialist to support the company's enterprise-wide data privacy compliance framework across multiple jurisdictions. This role focuses on managing legal compliance activities, privacy operations, and process improvements in a complex, evolving global data landscape.
Key responsibilities include conducting legal research to maintain and update Moody's internal global privacy, cyber, data breach, and data broker law documentation; performing gap analyses of new regulatory requirements; drafting monthly global privacy newsletters with updates on recent laws, enforcement actions, and court cases; and managing incident triage and assessment of potential personal data incidents with appropriate logging and escalation.
You will support day-to-day global privacy operations and compliance initiatives proactively, leveraging AI and workflow automation tools to streamline intake, logging, tracking, and reporting of privacy reviews and data incidents. The role requires strong legal research and regulatory interpretation skills, exceptional attention to detail, and proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and SharePoint. Experience with privacy compliance platforms like OneTrust is preferred.
Candidates should demonstrate growing awareness of AI risk management and hands-on experience using AI tools to enhance operational efficiency. You will work independently, manage multiple priorities, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment while supporting Moody's data, analytics, software, and risk intelligence businesses worldwide. The team partners with stakeholders across the business to manage privacy risks, maintain compliance with global regulations, and enable responsible use of emerging technologies including GenAI and Agentic AI.
