Wordsmith is building the legal operations platform for in-house legal teams. The company helps legal departments move faster by consolidating scattered work across inboxes, chats, and disconnected systems into one unified platform where AI agents handle routine work while lawyers maintain control over judgment-critical decisions. As a Legal Solutions Engineer, you will turn the product into real customer outcomes by working closely with legal teams post-purchase to design, configure, and implement legal workflows within Wordsmith. This role combines implementation, problem-solving, and advisory work, requiring you to blend legal understanding with product knowledge.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead implementation projects for new customers, designing workflows and automation tailored to each organization
- Work directly with legal teams and Legal Ops leaders to understand their operations and translate processes into structured workflows and AI-enabled automation
- Support onboarding and early adoption, helping customers expand into additional workflows and use cases
- Partner with Account Management to identify growth opportunities
- Surface patterns, insights, and recurring requests to Product and Engineering teams to shape product evolution
- Advise customers on best practices for implementing legal technology
This is a high-ownership role where you'll be trusted to run projects, work directly with customers, and drive outcomes with minimal oversight. You'll collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and GTM teams, sitting at the center of customer success and product adoption.
The company operates as an in-office team in Edinburgh, with the expectation that you'll be in the office as your default working arrangement.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in legal tech, legal operations, or process transformation
- Strong understanding of how in-house legal teams operate
- Ability to manage customer projects and guide stakeholders through change
- Comfortable working across legal and technical domains
- Structured thinking: ability to turn messy processes into clear systems
- Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with customers
- Typical backgrounds include: Legal Engineers, Legal Operations professionals, lawyers who have moved into legal tech, or implementation/solutions consultants in SaaS with a legal background
