The Legal Operations Specialist will serve as a critical operational hub for Valinor's legal team, managing day-to-day legal workflows and supporting the organization's rapid growth. This is a hands-on role requiring strong judgment, attention to detail, and flexibility to adapt as priorities shift.
Key responsibilities include:
- Serving as first point of contact for legal requests, routing questions and gathering information
- Supporting document preparation, record keeping, research, and filing for ongoing legal matters
- Maintaining organized records for contracts, agreements, engagement letters, and legal documentation
- Reviewing and revising routine commercial agreements (NDAs, vendor agreements, SaaS agreements, engagement letters)
- Coordinating contract execution, including signature collection, document storage, and agreement lifecycle management
- Providing operational support across active matters and recurring legal work
- Operating cross-functionally to support legal needs in employment, procurement, compliance, and vendor management
- Establishing and improving processes for legal intake, document management, contract tracking, and workflows
- Supporting legal and operational projects as company needs evolve
Required qualifications:
- 4-5 years of legal operations or paralegal experience, ideally in technology companies
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Experience with contracts, legal documents, records management, and agreement lifecycle
- Comfort with legal systems and tools (contract management, e-signature, matter management, billing platforms)
- Sound judgment and ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Clear communication skills and ability to work effectively with attorneys and cross-functional partners
- Practical, service-oriented approach with problem-solving mindset
- Ability to operate in fast-moving environment with shifting priorities
- Current notary commission or willingness to obtain one promptly
