Harvey is an AI platform transforming legal and professional services work through frontier agentic AI, enterprise-grade infrastructure, and deep domain expertise. The Legal Engineer, Custom Solutions role is based in Sydney and serves as the face of Harvey's Custom Solutions function in the Asia-Pacific region.
You will work directly with lawyers at current and prospective customers to understand complex workflow challenges, scope custom solution requirements, and design tailored Harvey implementations. You'll build and refine custom workflows, playbooks, and product configurations within the Harvey platform, ensuring each solution is credible, scalable, and grounded in how legal teams actually work.
Key responsibilities include partnering with Account Executives and Customer Success to support post-sale adoption and account expansion; acting as the Voice of the Customer by translating legal workflow insights into product direction; and collaborating with Marketing and Legal Innovation teams to develop Australia and APAC-relevant content and enablement materials.
You must be qualified to practice law in Australia with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience at a top-tier law firm or in-house legal team. You'll need strong executive engagement skills, outstanding presentation abilities for both legal and executive audiences, and a deep understanding of legal processes relevant to the Australian market. Experience with sales, business development, client secondments, or client relationship management is a strong plus. You should be comfortable operating at speed in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and excited about building at an early-stage company where shipping solutions and iterating quickly is rewarded.
