As a Legal Engineer, you will be a trusted advisor to law firms and in-house legal teams, driving adoption of Ivo's solutions. This is a varied, high-impact role that blends legal expertise with customer engagement and product advocacy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion Ivo's product at sales calls, customer onboarding, demos, webinars, events, and conferences
- Lead tailored product demonstrations for in-house legal teams, asking discovery questions to validate use cases and showcasing relevant features
- Serve as a close advisor to customers, helping them integrate Ivo into workflows and adopt best practices for scaling AI in legal work
- Implement and oversee implementation of "Playbooks" for prospects based on their precedents, templates, and historical agreements
- Collaborate with engineers to improve model outputs and with designers to enhance UX/UI
- Act as "Voice of the Customer," synthesizing customer feedback through a legal lens to inform sales strategy and product development
The role offers significant autonomy and ownership. You'll be expected to solve problems independently, move fast, and take a "do what it takes" approach. As the company scales, you'll have opportunities to specialize into particular areas.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of legal experience (law firm or in-house legal team)
- Outstanding presentation skills to legal and executive audiences
- "Do what it takes" attitude; willingness to dive into problems and solve them independently
- Sales or customer-facing experience is a plus, including legal business development, secondment, or direct management of law firm client matters and relationships
- Startup experience preferred but not required
- Relentless resourcefulness and strong internal sense of urgency
- Excitement about building a company
