Revolut is seeking a Legal Counsel to advise on investments and private banking services as the company continues its rapid expansion. The role focuses on launching new investment products and services while ensuring compliance with complex financial regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
Key responsibilities include conducting legal assessments for new investment products, preparing customer-facing documentation, and providing ongoing legal support. You will advise the business on complex legal and regulatory issues related to product structuring, marketing, and promotion of investment offerings. The role involves researching intricate legal and regulatory questions to support business initiatives and providing recommendations to leadership.
Additional duties include advising on customer complaint and dispute resolution, collaborating with commercial legal teams on regulatory aspects of agreements, and drafting compliance policies and procedures for investment products. You will identify, manage, and report on operational, legal, regulatory, and compliance risks associated with investment products.
The ideal candidate brings 4+ years of wealth and trading experience in investment services, financial markets, or asset management, combined with 6+ years of private-practice experience at a top-tier law firm. Deep expertise in MiFID II, MiFIR, EMIR, PRIIPs, and UCITS implementation is essential. You should demonstrate a business-oriented mindset, strong project management and communication skills, and the ability to work independently in ambiguous situations. A genuine interest in financial markets and a solid understanding of complex financial instruments are required. Excellent academic credentials and law firm background are expected.
